Novasure

Novasure employs a fan-shaped metal mesh that conforms to the shape of an individual uterus. A small current (cauteration) is passed through this mesh for approximately 90 seconds. This completely burns and destroys the endometrium so that menses no longer occurs. Occasionally one still may have a very light menses, but much improved than prior to the procedure. One might expect a blood-tinged watery discharge for 2-4 weeks after the procedure.
